Scholarships
Thanks to the support of individual donors to the School of Medicine, the State of New Jersey, and Hackensack Meridian Health Network, generous financial support is available to our current and incoming students.
The School’s Financial Aid Office administers several scholarship and grant programs to support students on the basis of financial need, academic achievement, academic interests, and/or other personal characteristics. In order to be considered for any type of financial aid or scholarships you must complete the Federal Application for Student Aid Application (FAFSA). When completing the FAFSA please use school code 042933 for Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine. Some of the scholarship awards are renewable. Renewal of awards is contingent upon completion of the FAFSA each year and continued meritorious performance. For further details please contact the School of Medicine, Student Financial Services department via email at SFS@hmhn.org.
Our School of Medicine offers both merit and need-based scholarships. In scholarship funding, “merit” is defined as maintaining rigorous academic standards: This is often demonstrated by a high grade point average (GPA) throughout high school and baccalaureate studies, and by scoring highly on the Medical College Admissions Test (MCAT). Merit may also be determined by personal characteristics such as commitment to community service, education, or research. More information about our need- and merit-based scholarship opportunities will be made available during the Interview Process.
